Olympus
Olympus is the highest mountain in Greece as at its top Myticas (altitude 2919 meters) lived, according to mythology, the 12 Olympian Gods for the protection of the area, it was declared as the first National Park of Greece in 1938. Later the Greek Ministry of Culture declared Olympus as an archaeological and historical site due to its monuments scattered all over the mountain. Depending on the season one visits Olympus, they will admire a different landscape.
Visitors can experience a wide range of activities such as hiking, climbing, mountaineering, descending gorges, cycling, picnic or staying in a refuge. Whatever you choose will beunforgettable.

Dion
Ancient Dion is located in the shade of Olympus. The archaeological site of Dion consists of a fortified city with an area of 360 acres, surrounded by places of worship that was inhabited without interruption from the classical to the early Christian years.
In Dion operates the most beautiful archeological park in the Greece beautifully designed with ancient, Hellenistic and Roman theatres, cobbled streets, hot springs with pools and mosaics, a conservatory, Roman houses, villas and early Christian basilicas.

Κάστρο Πλαταμώνα
Castle Platamon
At the Southeastern foot of Mount Olympus is one of the most beautiful and best preserved castles in Greece, the Middle Byzantine Castle of Platamonas.
A unique preserved castle dating back to the Frankish era with the imposing Tower inside, which was a strategic location of controlling the passage from Thessaly to Macedonia by land and sea.
It is considered a “trademark” for the prefecture of Pieria and it is on of the most important attractions of the area.

Παλαιός Παντελεήμονας
Old Panteleimon
At an altitude of 500 meters on the Eastern slope of Mount Olympus is PaliosPanteleimonas, a restored traditional settlement, known for its Macedonian architecture.
Apart from the wonderful view and the beautiful traditional taverns with delicious dishes of local food, the area is suitable for hiking, paragliding, gliding, cycling, and 4x4 routes by jeep.

Katerini
The city of Katerini is at a distance of 7 km. In the city you can visit one of the most beautiful parks in Greece with lots of greenery and impressive fountains, suitable for strolling and cycling.
The pedestrian precinct of Megalou Alexandrou Str.is downtown where you can go shopping or relax at its picturesque café’s and enjoy your meal as its cosy restaurants.

Alyki Kitrous Wetlands
Among the rich natural beauties of Pieria is the Wetland or the lagoon of Alykes Kitrous. The lagoon extends to a stretch of land in the sea and hosts a large number of seabirds which they are being feed, breed and spend the winter here.
There are also mud baths for free. It is well known that mud is therapeutic bothfor our body and organism.

Vergina
Vergina is an archeological site close to Paralia.
The place is known for its Royal Tombs is the ancient necropolis of Aigai. There is a museum with the findings, right next to the tombs covered with soil, creating the impression of an ancient burial mound with many exhibits that impress the visitor with their luxury, craftsmanship and the excellent condition in which they are preserved.
The site is located within walking distance of the museum. It is also protected by UNESCO as a monument of outstanding cultural heritage and as an area of exquisite natural beauty.
